Two deaths occurred on December 18 and 17 deaths occurred between November 22 and December 14, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases for the year now stands at 194,333, with 4,409 deaths.

Large family gatherings can easily spread COVID-19. Keep your Thanksgiving safe by keeping it small. Plan to:
• Gather with household members only, or limit guests from outside the home. • Have an outdoor gathering if possible. • Keep your indoor gathering well-ventilated by opening windows. • Keep six feet or more apart, indoors or outdoors. • Wear a mask as often as you can.
